Weather Publisher is a complete set of tools for your Weather station.
You can use it just for your personal use with the graphical user interface, Elements.
Elements allow you to generate very easily charts and reports, and monitor thousands of indicators from the console view.
But you can get the best of Weather Publisher by publishing weather data and charts on the Internet or just
your local intranet.
An other great feature of Weather Publisher is to be a member of the Blaasoft Weather Network.
This allows everyone to receive real time data from your station by downloading our free
weather widget.
Client server architecture
Weather Publisher consists in a server and a client
software. You can use the client anywhere on your
local network, not just only on the computer
connected to the sensor. You can even launch several
clients at the same time.
Computing module
The computing module allows you to define your own
variables such as average, variation, high and low
on any period of time. The server computes in real
time these values and broadcast them to the
connected clients.
The console lets you see all variable values.
Charts and reports generation
With Elements you can in a few clicks generate a
chart or a report on any variable such as air
temperature. You just define the period of time of
your chart or report and select a type (spot,
average, high/low...).
Elements provide four different styles of chart and
a powerful wizard that let include several variables.
Presentations
Presentations are a generic term for visual
documents allowing you to visualize you
station’s variables. There are three types of
variable: text presentations, HTML presentations and
SVG presentations. You can completely customize your
presentation to fit your needs.
Alarms
Alarms are triggered by the server and can just play
a sound, send a mail (you can define your own mail)
Web publishing
Presentations can be published either on a remote server by FTP or directly on the local file system.
Since Weather Publisher uses Glassfish as the application server you can uses the included HTTP server
to make presentations available on your intranet.
Plugins
Blaasoft provides two plugins to allows you to use very easily two main features:
- By running the Weather Network plugin, you can in a few minutes be member of the Blaasoft Weather Network, and retrieve your station weather data in the Weather widget making it available to everyone on the internet.
- The web pack plugin publishes a complete set of HTML pages and charts images.
